WELCOME TO AIRSOFT
WHAT IS AIRSOFT?

Airsoft is a recreational sport in which players attempt to eliminate each other using 6mm plastic BBs in a simulated environment. Often, gameplay is compared to paintball. The BBs are fired by non-lethal replica firearms, and come in configurations such as pistols, rifles, shotguns, and sniper rifles. Gameplay can consist of many different modes, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Domination to name the few
The contrast from paintball, is that rather than the ability to have the ammo mark a target when they are hit, airsoft relies on an “Honor System”, in which it is the ethical duty of the person who has been hit to call themselves out, regardless of whether or not anyone saw it happen.

Does it hurt?

Being shot by an airsoft gun is similar to the sensation of being pinched or being stung. If skin is exposed and shot, it may have the chance of getting a welt at the point of impact. There are a lot of variables, the closer you are the more it will hurt. Sometimes, players may not register their hits, whether it’s because it hit loose clothing, a plate carrier, or is just a decent distance away where the BB has a smaller impact. Many players will shoot a few extra shots at a player they believe can’t feel it, so it is common when a player is shot they will be hit more than once.
